Business Litigation – If you read my tab on Business Sales or Acquisition, you know that I started out in that area of law by representing a client who was sued for fraud in the inducement and misrepresentation when he sold a 50% interest in his business. I think it is important that you know that I like business litigation. Most attorneys in this area of law conduct themselves with professionalism (see my background for my involvement in the Stephen R. Booher American Inns of Court). If you are considering to retain the Law Office of Morrie I. Levine to represent you in business litigation, you should know that I have experience representing my clients in complex business litigation.
You should also know a story that a client of mine told me to tell future prospective clients about me. My client and I were walking to our cars in the parking garage of a building on Brickell Avenue in downtown Miami after my client’s deposition in opposing counsel’s office. My client stops me by pulling on my arm. I look at him and he goes and says, “Morrie, I didn’t think you had it in you, but you were a lion in there, a real tiger, a bear. You ripped that attorney’s lungs out. You didn’t give him a chance. You were all over him.” I asked my client why he felt that way. He responded that “We had previously met four (4) times in your office and each time you came across as a real nice guy. I didn’t think you could be tough.” I told him that he pays my bills as my client, so I shouldn’t be nasty to him. He told me that, “You need to tell your prospective clients that you have this other side, that you are a fighter.”
